It doesn’t always pay to be a bad girl on daytime television. Laura Allen gave ABC’s All My Children a big push when she joined in 2000 to take over the role of Laura Kirk English from Lauren E. Roman. Her bizarre behavior and sham weddings stole the show–and Laura’s character was eventually sent away to get psychiatric help. Thankfully, Laura’s used that splashy role to pursue bigger projects. Born in Portland but raised in Washington State, Laura graduated from Hilary Clinton‘s alma mater, Wellesley College before appearing in the pilot episode of The $treet, and landing the role that had soap viewers reevaluating their Y axis willingness on the crazy/hot scale. She got lost among the rebellious young beauties of Mona Lisa Smile (2003) but would not be ignored during a bikini-busting guest role on the Fox show North Shore. After starring as Lily Moore on The 4400, she upped the sexy as “America’s Sweetheart” Julia Mallory on the tabloid magazine drama, Dirt. From doing heroin to bedding random girls and guys, Laura did it all on the show, including some sorta nudity, briefly flashing her butt and boobs on the FX drama after waking up from a drug fuelled orgy. Although she degrades some poor guy as a lousy lay, after seeing her huge hangers in a loose bra in the MIlf comedy Cherry (2010) we’d be happy to have her on top for a very fun day. Laura played Rochelle Matheson on Ravenswood, and Young Nettie on HBO’s The Tale (2018) before joining Princess Meghan Markle herself as Annabelle on Suits. These days she’s starring on Truth Be Told, a crime drama about a Podcaster trying to solve murders in real life. Truth be told, we’d like to see more of Laura Allen.
